Q: What are the opening hours of The Commodore?
A: Our bar is open every evening from 5pm and we serve meals from 6pm. Our restaurant is open at weekends from 6pm - 9pm and also from 12 - 2 on Sundays for our very popular Sunday Carvery. We are happy to take party bookings outwith these times. In the summer months, from April onwards, we are open every evening from 6pm. A good idea to check before making your journey. Tel 781788.

Q: Do you cater for vegetarians?
A: Yes certainly! We always have at least one hot veggie dish, and one salad, on the menu, but if you let us know your requirements when booking we can make sure there is a wider choice available on the night.

Q: I have a food allergy. Can you accommodate my diet?
A: Yes of course. Let us know when you book your table or tell waiting staff on the night and they will discuss suitable dishes. As most dishes are cooked to order, chef is happy to adapt menu items for you.

Q: Does your restaurant have access for the disabled?
A: Yes we have very good disabled access with double doors, no steps nor changes in level. There is plenty of room to manouvre in the restaurant and spacious disabled WCs.

Q: What capacity does The Commodore have?
A: We can accommodate up to 80 seated guests at a function and 130 total for an evening reception or party. Generally restaurant bookings are limited to around 50 for our diners' comfort.

Q: Are children welcome?
A: Definitely! Children may eat in the bar or restaurant with their parents or other adults. There are high chairs available for little people and we are happy to accommodate fussy eaters or warm up your baby's special food. We have a children's menu, or can offer smaller portions of dishes from the main menu. Baby changing facilities in both the women's and men's restaurant toilets.

Q: Do you accept credit card payments?
A: Yes all major cards including American Express.

Q: What about dogs?
A: Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the bar, but we ask that owners ensure they do not wander off on their own!
